It’s no secret that my first year postpartum has been a journey for me. It has been a huge adjustment from the life I used to live pre-baby. Don’t get me wrong, I genuinely LOVE being a mom and cherish every single moment I spend with my daughter…but figuring out my new routine balancing my work and hobbies as well as being fully present with my girl has taken some time (and I’m still figuring it out!)

I experienced a lot of postpartum anxiety, at times early on it could have even been PPD. Additionally I felt a lot of anger bubble up at just how much harder this chapter was to navigate than I anticipated or anyone prepared me for. Anger also around not being able to find my footing or my balance in this new chapter as quickly as I would have liked to.

These last 13 months have been a deep dive into how to be my best, most present self while not losing myself in that process. A few things that have helped me ease into this and release anger, frustration and anxiety (it’s a daily practice but we’re getting there day by day!) is Breathwork, meditation, long walks, journaling with prompts and getting back to free writing journaling, moving my body whenever I can and fueling it with food I know will make me feel my best not only physically but hormonally and mentally as well.

After talking about all of the ways I have been navigating motherhood on social media, it all seemed to resonate with so many other new moms…

SOO, I created a journal + life planner to help you feel your best during pregnancy and postpartum…

This past year I have gotten to know myself on a new level, in a new chapter of life. Having a baby forces you to get to know the deepest parts yourself that you haven’t wanted to face.

Not only did I have to face old and new versions of myself, take care of myself physically, mentally, emotionally all while researching tons of information for months on end — I also had to care for another little tiny human, be as present as possible and show up as the best version of myself.

Since high school, journaling and meditating has been an important part of my daily life to keep me feeling sane but it became an even deeper practice during pregnancy and postpartum. There has been much more intention behind every meditation and journal entry but it was also tough to find time getting out my journal and pen in between feeding and holding a little one.

I realized I needed to create a place where everything you needed during pregnancy & postpartum was right at your fingertips, so the Bump & Beyond life planner was born.

It has space for intention setting and getting in touch with your emotions in the morning and nighttime, free writing space to journal and get clear. It has a space for habit tracking so you can start to check off daily accomplishments as well as links to workouts you can do at any point on your journey.
