Babymoon : Itinerary + What I Wore

One & Only Mandarina. That’s all I have to say. When I say this place was actual heaven, I’m not exaggerating. So you fly into Puerto Vallarta and drive about 45 minutes through the jungle to this insane resort that I would basically describe as a wellness retreat, the perfect place to have your baby moon.

Every room is it’s own treehouse up in the jungle, overlooking the water. The treehouses are the size of a small condo and come with their own plunge pool, outdoor tanning area & outdoor shower. Each treehouse also comes with it’s own host who is there to help you get around the property / make reservations / get you whatever you need during your stay. Upon arrival, our host Pamela saged our room and had us set intentions for the trip. Anytime we needed to get anywhere around the property she would show up in her little boogie car (this is how you get around) to take us!

OKAY but here’s the best part for all of my fellow pregnant gals: make sure to let them know you are pregnant before arrival and they will have a snoogle (pregnancy pillow) waiting on the bed for you!!! This was such a game changer and made my nights at this hotel so comfy. Additionally, I was skeptical to spend money on a prenatal massage because the one’s I have gotten in LA are subpar. This massage though was READY for pregnancy. They had a special cut out for my stomach and boobs so I could lay on the front side of my body and get a real massage.

The spa was like something I have never seen before. You walk through parts of the jungle to get to each level. There is a fresh made red clay area where you can cover your whole body and sit in the sounds of nature, there is a relaxation pool in the middle of the trees as well as saunas and steam rooms.

The pools during the day are out of this world. We stayed at the Carao pool for most of our days because it was up high and had an insanely beautiful view but there is another pool + a beach area to choose from as well. The vibes are so low-key and you barely see any other people (a lot of people hideaway in their treehouses and use their own patios / pools throughout the day). The bar staff would walk around throughout the day with fresh made wellness shots — perfect to make me feel included while my husband drank margaritas.

Lastly, the fooood. I swear I had the best fish dish of my entire life at Carao Restaurant. The chef is a 2 Michelin star chef with his own restaurant based in Mexico City (he’s been featured on Chefs Table on Netflix). The meal was out of this world we could have sat there forever. The dishes were so unique while staying so simple and fresh.

I cannot recommend this hotel enough for a couples getaway, honeymoon, babymoon or for a girls trip!
