The Cape: Cabo Vacation Recap

It’s no secret that The Cape Hotel is my favorite getaway in Cabo. There are of course plenty of other amazing resorts, but this one has a small boutique feel with a slightly better price point than the other top hotels in the area. From the second you walk in to The Cape you feel like you are in a different world. If you are coming from the West Coast, it is about a 3 hour trip total door to door (if you have TSA/global entry/Clear etc. you know the drill). Here is my recommended itinerary:

Stay at The Cape — duh

  • Other great options : Chileno Bay, Montage, Esperanza

Tell the Cape your arrival time so they have a car waiting for you at the airport

*Get a margarita to go at the outdoor airport bar for the drive to the hotel

Where to eat/drink:

*Bolded are the musts

  • El Farallon (this one is my favorite) — make reservations before the trip — also get there 30 minutes before your reservation to enjoy the champagne bar … after dinner you can walk over to the main area of the Waldorf and usually they have live music at their restaurant/bar

  • The Office is a must for fun / party dinner vibes. Food is yummy, prepare to take shots and hangout until the sun sets. They try to tell you that they have no tables available when you show up but be persistent - trust me

  • Flora Farms ( about a 30 minute drive from the hotel )

  • Acre Hotel for drinks / dinner

  • Rooftop at The Cape, small bites and live music or DJ at night — I usually end up here most nights

  • Manta at The Cape

  • Ediths in town for a more locals kind of dinner

  • The Nowhere Bar for a night out / bar scene on the Marina

  • Maria Jiminez Restaurante Mexicano local family restaurant

  • Arbol at Las Ventanas Hotel (fancy & super small portions but really good)

*People love Flora Farms for dinner and Acre Hotel for drinks / dinner. Since other places are closer and these are a drive, I just never want to sit in a car that long in Cabo haha so I haven’t been to either but have heard nothing but amazing things.

Spend literally all day at the pool at The Cape it’s heaven. Their sushi rolls and chips and guac are amazinggggg

Rent a boat with a captain one day too!
